Spring & Summer Bridal Inspiration

Spring & Summer 2016 bridal inspiration.

This look we have put together, is a very simple and elegant bridal style.

We have chosen a beautiful dress by Flossy and Dossy.

“Flossy and Dossy do things differently. We believe that every dress should be unique, original, special, a statement to who you are. Each dress is designed and handmade by Wendy from start to finish. We use beautiful silks, lace and beading”

This dress is called ‘Anais’ and here is what Wendy has to say about her design:

“Anais is a beautiful silk satin and silk chiffon dress, with lace appliqués at the shoulder and train. It is finished with a delicate beaded belt at the waist”

We chose to style this dress with a loose, textured pony tail. We wanted some movement in the hair so we kept a loose/tousled wave and volume at the roots.

For make up, Alice wanted a lovely glowing skin, to compliment the elegance of the dress so Alice applied Laura Mercier oil free primer as a base.  For the skin Alice used Luminous Silk by Giorgio Armani, a perfect foundation for brides.  It’s oil free yet still hydrating so is great for both dry and combination skin.  It really does glide on seamlessly and leaves the skin looking silky smooth. Just what every bride wants.

Alice wanted the eye makeup to be the key feature of the make up, so she went for a warm, smokey eye with individual lashes to add dimension to the eyes. Using the Naked 2 eye palette from Urban Decay Alice used colours snakebite, suspect and tease on the eyes Using a slightly warmer toned smokey eye is a great way to enhance blue eyes. The colour of this smokey eye really made Victorias blue eyes stand out.

Alice then went for a nude lipstick which had a slight peach/pink/warm undertone which suited Victorias fair complexion. This shade is called ‘Spanish Pink’ and is from the Tom Ford collection which boasts a huge range or super creamy and pigmented lipsticks, all containing Murumuru butter. The blusher is a very similar tone to the lipstick, which helps to tie this whole look together.

This look is very sultry, elegant & feminine. With all the delicate details, the full look works together perfectly. It is great for a bride who wants a spring summer look, which is not too fussy, it is minimal but at the same time oozes jaw dropping elegance.
